WATCH: Full trailer and new posters for The Last of Us season 2

The full trailer has arrived for The Last of Us season 2 and, as much as I enjoyed season one, this looks bigger, faster and better… the full George Lucas treatment, huh?

And, by the way, the cast for this, apart from Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey returning has Catherine O’Hara, Jeffery Wright and Kaitlyn Dever joining the cast, that’s a craving line-up for any movie, let alone a TV series.

“The Last of Us” begins 20 years after modern civilization has collapsed. A fungus, Cordyceps unilateralis, has led humanity to destruction in a matter of weeks, ravaging entire countries and condemning survivors to a miserable existence in safe zones run by the Federal Disaster Response Agency (F.E.D.R.A.), a government organization operating in the United States.

While we have no full release date yet beyond 2025, I’d imagine there’s going to be a lot of news and dates released in the coming few weeks.

Are you excited for Joel and Ellie’s return? Let us know…

New posters, including one for Kaitlyn Dever as Abby:

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
