WATCH: Hair-raisingly good teaser appears for new series of Dexter

Oh, yes!

I have no idea why, but this simple little tease has me so excited as Michael C Hall returns as Dexter… and we don’t even see him in the clip!

All we get is a snowy scene with an axe buried in a tree stump as we here Dexter Morgan say: “There really is nothing like getting back to nature… my nature.”

And we all know exactly what Dexter’s nature is… he’d basically Batman if Batman killed and dissected all the villains he stopped.

The series will also star Jamie Chung as a crime podcaster and Oscar Wahlberg – it also stars Clancy Brown as the villain Kurt Caldwell, “the unofficial mayor of the small town of Iron Lake. He’s realized the American dream by going from driving big rigs, just like his father did, to now owning several trucks and the local truck stop. Powerful, generous, loved by everyone – he’s a true man of the people. If he’s got your back, consider yourself blessed. But should you cross Kurt, or hurt anyone that he cares for, God help you.”

It will be a ten-episode series under original showrunner Clyde Phillips and is currently filming in Central Massachusetts.

While we don’t know when exactly, Dexter will return later this year… and not a moment too soon.

Thoughts? Let me hear ’em…

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
