Before the Losers Club, Pennywise had many other adventures terrifying the children of Derry, Maine and this is one of those stories…
HBO has dropped a full teaser for its nine-episode IT prequel series, IT: Welcome to Derry and it seems like it could just as easily be a prequel to Stephen King’s masterpiece coming-of-age/horror novel as well as Andy Muschietti’s horror movie duology of IT Chapter 1 & 2.
In the story, Pennywise the clown, actually a demonic emotion vampire from the darkness called Todash, returns every 27 years to terrify, maim and finally kill the children of the small Maine town, so this new tale takes us back to 1962, 27 years before Muschietti’s movies and will see Bill Skarsgård return as the hateful clown along with Taylour Paige, Jovan Adepo, Chris Chalk, James Remar, Stephen Rider, Madeleine Stowe and Rudy Mancuso.

Talking recently about King’s massive novel, Muschietti said: “IT is an epic story that contains multitudes, far beyond what we could explore in our IT movies. We can’t wait to share the depths of Steve’s novel, in all its heart, humor, humanity and horror.”
See you all this Fall…
