References to cult classic movies aside, it appears that we could (emphasis on “could”) be getting a sequel to the hilarious Mel Brooks movie, Space Balls.
In a podcast, Brooks stated that he wants to make Spaceballs 2, appropriately subtitled “The Search For More Money”. He also notes how they try and film it once The Force Awakens release. Probably to given themselves even more to spoof (see: hilted lightsaber…)
Now a true sequel is impossible, as certain stars from the original are not with us anymore. However, with Mel Brooks involved, he could probably find a creative way to get around that and still give us something to truly enjoy.
