Well…that was unexpected. From the getgo, this episode was about the true uniting of the Secret Warriors. But by the end, it was all about how Daisy was actually being controlled by Hive.
On one hand, it was cool to see the Warriors together…but then it was over, and now it appears that they won’t be together again for the rest of the season, if at all again. Which sucks, because this was one of the big lures of season 3. I mean seriously, it was. And though we’ll likely see some of them before the end, I don’t know if the Secret Warriors will ever be fully realized.
The trust game was fun, i honestly didn’t think it was Daisy until near the end. Cause I thought that would’ve been too big a twist. But it was played out well, as was the flashbacks to show not only how she got infected, but how she did what she did in base. Her infection also revealed that she still has control of her body and senses in some way. It’s just she’s “blinded” by the Hive and believes in his vision. Her taking out the base was also cool, as it showed just how powerful she really is.
And yes, this was the end for Gideon, though he had a really good moment with Coulson as he talked about what went wrong and how he regretted it. We knew he was going to die, and this was a fun way to go.
It’ll be interesting to see where Agents of Shield goes from here. It’s all systems go to the end, and we still have that death to deal with, so who knows what will happen next.
