UPDATE: Apologies guys, our bad, this is a piece of fan art. We fell for it and we’re not too big to admit it. It’s cool though.
Woah! We’ve just got our first look at the new Pennywise from the new IT adaptation…
And, while he’s no Tim Curry, there’s no question that new Pennywise Bill Skarsgard is plenty scary – if strangely young looking as the monster clown!
We just hope director Andy Muschietti can deliver the goods on this new telling of one of Stephen King’s scariest – and best – tales.
Joining Skarsgard in the mavis is Midnight Special star Jaeden Lieberher will play Bill Denbrough, the leader of the kids. Finn Wolfhard, Jack Dylan Grazer, Wyatt Oleff, Chosen Jacobs and Jeremy Ray Taylor have also been cast, in so far unannounced roles.
Like the original movie plans, this will be a two-parter with the first movie focusing on the children and the second focusing on them returning as adults.
The script was originally written by Cary Fukunaga and Chase Palmer with King’s blessing and has since been rewritten by Annabelle scribe Gary Dauberman.
IT returns on September 8th, 2017 to haunt you nightmares. Again.
