Word of a director shortlist for Captain Marvel has surfaced over at THR.
According to the site, Niki Caro, Lesli Linka Glatter, and Lorene Scafaria are being considered to helm the film with Brie Larson in the lead role.
The report also notes that the next step will be presenting the filmmakers with a treatment for the film, penned by Nicole Perlman (Guardians of the Galaxy) and Meg LeFauve (Inside Out).
Captain Marvel will tell of Carol Danvers, an Air Force pilot whose DNA is infused with that of the alien race the Kree, granting her superhuman flight, strength, speed, and energy blasts.
