While inconsistent, one of the biggest surprises of Agents of Shield Season 05 was that Glenn Talbot became the villain known as Graviton. In fact, he was the big bad for the final pod of episodes. And in the Season 05 finale (which was meant to be the series finale), he was “killed” by Quake when he was shot into space.
However, according to Jed Whedon, it may not be as simple as that. For in an interview with Entertainment Weekly, one of the interviewers noted that they really liked Talbot as Graviton, to which Whedon said:
“So if the rest of the fans feel the way you do, then chances are he might not be super dead.”
Who is dead and who is alive in Agents of Shield Season 06 (which is coming out Summer 2019) is going to be a big plot point. Coulson said at the season finale that he had days or weeks left, but many feel the show can’t go on without Coulson, so a “cure” needs to happen. Fitz isn’t actually dead, so he needs to be found, and Deek is also a question mark. So why not throw in Graviton to the mix?
