A new rumour has hit the interwebs about the standalone Joker movie.
It seems that some new story details have emerged and we’re not sure what to make of them.
The movie starts filming in September with Joaquin Phoenix as the clown prince of crime but now according to That Hashtag Show, the movie will reveal one of comics’ greatest mysteries…
“The Joker’s real name in the movie will be Arthur Fleck. He comes back home to the city to live with his older (possibly dying) mother in her apartment. Fleck’s mother was described to That Hashtag Show as “very attractive in her youth“, “obsessed with her former employer” and unable to believe “this is what her life has come to.”
Wait, the Joker’s real name will be A Fleck? Affleck? Really?! Hmmmmmm…
In related news, it seems that Deadpool 2’s Zazie Beetz is in talks for a single mother role and some believe that may make here the love interest. The character is reportedly called Sophie Dumond.
And finally, as we reported a couple of weeks back, it seems Robert DeNiro has signed on to the movie and will play TV presenter Murray Franklin.
Joker will hit theaters October 4th, 2019
