With news from Kevin Smith (Dogma & Jay and Silent Bob) we now have conformation that the all mythical Snyder cut of the Justice League does in fact exist.
In an interview with CinemaBlend, the writer/director/actor has spoke on the matter saying “I’ve not seen it firsthand. But I’ve spoken now to enough people at various levels in that production. There IS a Snyder cut. For sure.”
This being said, the movie itself is far from complete with scenes missing and and ones incomplete with missing sound and special effects. But even with that people would still want to watch the Snyder cut.
Smith said: “They can watch a work in progress and fill in the blanks in their heads. They can shoot a version of the flick where, you know, they put Snyder into it explaining what would have gone here, what went there.”
And with that in mind I would watch it, with most of what I watch being split between superheroes and documentaries this could be the perfect combination of the two.
From having done work on both the Flash and Supergirl TV shows, Kevin Smith currently has his finger on the pulse of what’s going on in the world of DC and has also reconnected with Ben Affleck who’s in his new feature film Jay & Silent Bob Reboot, but who more recently has played Batman in said Snyder cut, so it could be interesting to see if this is where he’s getting his information from. Either way I look forward to hearing to what he has to say next.
