It’s been a long time since the Inspector has graced us on the big screen and after the reception of the last one I’m sure we can see why.
Nevertheless, it sounds like that’s all about to change with Disney looking to do a new live-action version of the much-beloved 1980s cartoon.
Dan Lin and Jonathan Eirich, producers of the live-action Aladdin, are heading up the movie with Saturday Night Live writers Mikey Day and Streeter Seidell heading up the script, bit of a weird combination but to be honest, it’s a bit of a weird show.
So far that’s all we know on the project with no info on casting, but one thing’s for sure: that we can expect a lot of CGI with all the cyborg inspector’s gadgets, let’s just hope that they cast well and hopefully get some of the Marvel guys to do the CG since right now that’s the gold standard (and Detective Pikachu).
Stay tuned for more updates on the inspector and his gadgets, until then, stay nerdy folks.
