I’m amazed that Weird Al Yankovic, the guy I’ll always love for his Star Wars-themed songs such as My, My Little Anakin Guy is getting his own biopic.
I also cannot believe that Harry Potter himself, Daniel Radcliffe is playing him.
Yankovic is a parody singer who favours an accordion in his music as his weapon of choice; he’s also surprisingly talented at what he does.
Having his first hit in 1976, if you think about it, it’s long past time that he had a bio-pic made about him.
On the movie’s release, Yankovic said: “when my last movie UHF came out in 1989, I made a solemn vow to my fans that I would release a major motion picture every 33 years, like clockwork. I’m very happy to say we’re on schedule.
“I am absolutely thrilled that Daniel Radcliffe will be portraying me in the film. I have no doubt whatsoever that this is the role future generations will remember him for.”
The movie is coming this Fall on the Roku Channel. You have been warned,
