We have a new clip from the upcoming reboot/reimagining of Anaconda… and a cool little tidbit of news about the movie.
While attending the movie premiere in LA over the weekend, star of the 1997 original movie, Ice Cube, who played cameraman Danny Rich, right, confirmed that he has a cameo in the new movie and was excited to return: “It’s cool to do a cameo, to kind of make it go full circle in a way,” he said.
“When they asked me to do it, when I knew the kind of movie they were doing, I jumped at it. I’m like, ‘This is something different. It’s cool.’”

A midlife crisis inspires Doug (Jack Black) and Griff (Paul Rudd) to head into the Amazon rainforest to remake their favorite film from their youth, but everything changes when a real giant anaconda shows up, turning the comically chaotic set into a deadly situation. The movie they’re dying to make? It might just kill them.
Directed by Tom Gormican, the film stars Jack Black, Paul Rudd, Selton Mello, Daniela Melchior, Thandiwe Newton, and Steve Zahn.
Anaconda is due out this Christmas.
