20-year-old Kane Parsons is the filmmaker behind the excellent Backrooms web series on YouTube. The series debuted in 2022 and has amassed over 190 million views to date, writes Phile over at Live for Films.
After a therapist’s patient goes missing into a dimension beyond reality, she has to enter the unknown to save him.

Interestingly, Parsons is already teasing that the upcoming movie will not be the end of the Backrooms story, with Parsons already teasing that there’s more of the YouTube series coming as well as a possible sequel:
So, it seems that, should the movie perform well, A24 might be looking at a sequel/franchise.
A24 has joined with Parsons on a full-length feature starring Chiwetel Ejiofor, Renate Reinsve, Mark Duplass, Finn Bennett, Lukita Maxwell, and Avan Jogia, and the new trailer is out.
