I honestly didn’t think we’d see the day but we finally have the first teaser for Gremlins 3.
The movie, which was set for release on November 19th 2027, has been moved back to October 6th, 2028, just in time for Halloween.
The movie is set to be directed by Harry Potter and Home Alone’s Chris Columbus, with Steven Spielberg producing and the story will be penned by Banana Splits’ Hannah Marks based on a story by Columbus along with Zach Lipovsky and Adam Stein.

The movie will act as a sequel to 1990’s Gremlins 2: The New Batch, but hopefully it’ll act more as a sequel to the original movie.
As of now, there’s no word on if stars Zach Galligan or Phoebe Cates will return, but Galligan has been outspoken about the third movie for a long, long time, so I will be very surprised if he’s not involved somehow.
Warner Bros’ president of development and production Jesse Ehrman said of the project: “Few titles are as beloved and iconic as ‘Gremlins,’ and we’re beyond excited to bring it back for both lifelong fans and a whole new generation.”
The Gremlins have most recently appeared in the successful animated prequel series: Gremlins: Secrets of the Mogwai
Gizmo returns on October 6th, 2028.
