A nice little Saturday surprise from The Wolverine director James Mangold who, revealed a new poster design for the upcoming movie via Twitter.
“As we are beginning to offer glimpses of Silver Samurai,” he writes, “here’s a new great one sheet image for #thewolverine”
it is cool too, in the same style as the early Japanese Wolverine one sheet image. (above)
“Based on the celebrated comic book arc, the July 26 release takes Wolverine (Jackman), the most iconic character of the X-Men universe, to modern day Japan. Out of his depth in an unknown world, he will face a host of unexpected and deadly opponents in a life-or-death battle that will leave him forever changed. Vulnerable for the first time and pushed to his physical and emotional limits, he confronts not only lethal samurai steel but also his inner struggle against his own immortality.”
The movie also stars Will Yun Lee, Svetlana Khodchenkova, Hiroyuki Sanada, Hal Yamanouchi, Tao Okamoto, Rila Fukushima, and Brian Tee.
The Wolverine rages into theaters on July 26th, 2013.
