OK, so we’ve known for a while that Lucasfilm/Disney were looking into the idea of having Star Wars theme parks but we’ve been waiting for confirmation on a bigger scale. And we just got it...
Patti Burke, according to our friends at The Star Wars Underworld, a veteran with over 20 years of exoerience in the movie and theme park industries has been appointed as Executive Producer of Lucasfilm’s Theme Park Division. Now, let’s take a few seconds to let that sink in…
While, we’re obviously happy for Ms Burke – our experience of Lucasfilm employees is that they are, quite simply, lovely – our minds are totally blown at the prospect of what exactly this eans. And not just Star Wars but all Lucasfilm’s properties. Imagine out running that boulder at the start of Raiders of the Lost Ark or spending time on Hoth just as the AT-ATs arrive; the possiblilities are, frankyl, endless.
We’re excited… are you guys?
