Looks like Spider-Man: Brand New Day could be hiding some more MCU surprises than we had first thought.

We know that the movie, due this summer, will star Tom Holland as your friendly neighbourhood Spider-Man alongside Zendaya as MJ, Jacob Baton as Ned, Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle/Punisher, Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner/Hulk, Michael Mando as Mac Gargan/Scorpion, Marvin Jones III as Tombstone, not to mention in unconfirmed roles Sadie Sink, Liza Colón-Zayas and Tramell Tillman but now we’re hearing that a few other familiar faces from the wider MCU might also be appearing.

Now, a new rumour, is saying JK Simmons will be returning as J Jonah Jameson and joining the legion of heroes and villains is Eman Esfandi as Harry Osborn, Kiernan Shipka as Gwen Stacy, Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova, Hailee Steinfeld as Kate Bishop, Iman Vellani as Kamala Khan and Rosario Dawson as Claire Temple.

Also, as can be seen by these leaked images from the movie’s upcoming merchandise:

The movie will also feature a host of other villains such as Rhino, Boomerang, Ramrod, The Hand (ninjas), Tarantula, 8-Ball and more.

It is expected that in the movie, we will see montages of Spidey taking on street-level villains, which is likely where we will see the majority of these bad guys pop up.

What is also interesting is the possible appearances of Ms Marvel, Kate Bishop and Yelena Belova… is Peter going to be approached to join the Young Avengers?

Ok, so, possible appearances and cameos galore. Thoughts? I know you have them and I wanna hear ’em all.

Four years have gone by since we last caught up with our friendly neighborhood hero.

Peter Parker is no more, but Spider-Man is at the top of his game keeping New York City safe. Things are going well for our anonymous hero until an unusual trail of crimes pulls him into a web of mystery larger than he’s ever faced before. In order to take on what’s ahead, Spider-Man not only needs to be at the top of his physical and mental game, but he must also be prepared to face the repercussions of his past!

Spider-Man 4 arrives on July 31, 2026
