Vin Diesel gives new looks at the now-filming Riddick: Furyan

Honestly, I might be alone on this, but I am pacing the floor waiting for the trailer for the next installment in the Riddick series.

Meanwhile, I guess we will have to do with a new look at Vin Diesel as Richard B Riddick and his new look in the upcoming movie – not exactly a trailer but I’ll take what I can get.

The fourth live-action movie in the sci-fi franchise that kicked off with 2000’s Pitch Black, Riddick: Furya sees ‘Riddick finally returns to his home world, a place he barely remembers and one he fears might be left in ruins by the Necromongers. But there he finds other Furyans fighting for their existence against a new enemy. And some of these Furyans are more like Riddick than he could have ever imagined.’

Diesel also posted a second image, below, of him wearing this outfit and this time he seems to be on set where they’re using The Volume, the massive screens that serve as digital and interactive backgrounds rather than using greenscreen or matte paintings, it’s the same tech that was pioneered with The Mandalorian TV series.

In the update, Diesel also teases more outings for Fast and Furious, Kojack (which he’s been trying to get made for years), Groot, XXX and The Last Witch Hunter. You have to give it to him; he’s not afraid to graft.

So it looks like Riddick: Furyan is now filming with the creator and director of all the others, David Twohy also back at the helm… so now we wait.

Thoughts? I know you have them and I wanna hear ’em all!

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
