Happy 25th birthday, Harry Potter (movies)!
Hard as it is to believe, JK Rowling’s iconic Harry Potter movie series is a quarter of a century old this year and there’s a host of new events happening across the wizarding world, including the first movie being re-released in cinemas.
The official site says:
Over the Back to Hogwarts period, the sounds of ‘Yer a wizard, Harry’ will be ringing out in screens around the world as Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone / Sorcerer’s Stone will make a return to the silver screen, with a special treat for fans – 10 minutes of behind-the-scenes content never before seen in theatres.

The film will show on screens across North America, EMEA, LATAM and APAC between 27th August and 3rd September (timings vary by location).
During this window, fans will also have the chance to enjoy experiential magical touches guaranteed to bring the magic to life and watch all eight films from the Harry Potter series in theatres – check local listings for details.
So, there you have it, time to get your nest Muggle friend, your wand and your owl (and a cage, please) and get ready to head back to the cinema for some genuine movie magic.
