With Star Trek III hurrying to filming next year (here) it’s having a knock on effect on those involved and their other projects.
Director Roberto Orci has had to drop out as executive producer of the Power Rangers reboot due on July 22nd 2016 due to scheduling issues. It seems that filming may be kicking off on February 15th 2015 and the plot will see the movie picking up years after Into Darkness, well into the crew’s five-year-mission.
“The story will serve as a stand-alone episode from the many adventures that would have taken place over the course of this time. While Earth played an important role in the previous two films, it will not be visited at all during the course of the movie.”
Finally, the rumour is that the pre-vis work has already started even though the movie won’t be green lit until Paramount can agree on a budget.
So, that’s how films get made these day, huh? Mad.
