Twentieth Century Fox announced yesterday that in 2014 they broke the global box office record with $5.5 billion grossed… that, my friends, is a very good year. But they decided to capitalise on their good news by announcing a string of new movies’ release dates.
First up, the Channing Tatum starring Gambit movie – yes, another X-Men movie – will be out on October 7th 2016.
The third Planet of the Apes movie has been moved back to July 14th, 2017.
The Fantastic Four 2 – the sequel to one of the least anticipated movies of all time – will arrive on June 2nd, 2017.
Video game adaptation Assassin’s Creed is due on December 21st, 2016.
The Greatest Showman on Earth, directed by Michael Gracey and starring Hugh Jackman as PT Barnum , which will be released on Christmas Day, 2016.
Mike & Dave Need Wedding Dates from Funny or Die director Jake Szymanski is due on July 29th, 2016
The Mountain Between Us, starring Rosamund Pike and Charlie Hunnam, is set for February 10th, 2017.
So, a full schedule and some interesting movies in there, it looks like Fox are planning on capitalising on the success of last year…
