With the Nerd community getting all excited about news that a new X-Files series could be in the workings at FOX (here) we’re hanging on every word to see if Mulder and Scully will return.
And now we may be one step closer… fingers, arms and legs crossed.
‘Spooky’ Fox Mulder himself, David Duchovny, has told USA Today that he is: “more than happy and excited to bring it back and do it again with [co-star] Gillian [Anderson] and [series creator] Chris [Carter].”
Depressingly – he’s only 54 – Duchovny added: “I’m assuming that it will happen sooner rather than later now. We’ll see what form, how many [episodes]. Certainly I can’t, nor would I be interested in, doing a full season. It will be in some kind of limited form. We’re all old, we don’t have the energy for a full season.”
From 1993-2002 The X-Files was a big deal for us all at FTN and arguably where the recent wave of nerdy TV really began (note, I said recent :)), welcoming Mulder and Scully back would be happy times indeed.
I want to believe…
