The fog of horror might have sounded the end for Silent Hills…
It seems that Kojima productions’ relationship with Konami will come to an end in December due to a disagreement between both studios.
Apparently the reason for the departure is down to a “power struggle” that restricted staff to access of corporate internet, phone and email.
As soon as the news hit, people were wondering what is going to happen to Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom pain, however Hideo Kojima was quick to state that he is commited to the game and he will be there until it is released; what is uncertain though is the other big project being handled by Kojima: Silent Hills.
At E3 2014 a demo hit the Playstation store titled P.T, it turned out to be the next Silent Hill game being handled by Hideo Kojima along with Guillermo Del Toro; this excited fans with many people calling it the most horrifying gaming experience they have ever played… and that was just the trailer!
The problem is that Konami hold the rights to the Silent Hill franchise and with the partnership coming to an end it is understood that the only way the game will see the light of day is if Kojima productions buys the rights to the series.
At the moment Hideo Kojima is fully concerntrating on finishing Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain so the possibility of Silent Hills ever getting released is hanging by a thread…
