The new Agents of SHIELD spinoff Mockingbird has added a very cool actor to its cast list.

Delroy Lindo will play Dominic Fortune and will join Adrianne Palicki and Nick Blood as Bobbi Morse AKA Mockingbird and her partner Lance Hunter.

Lindo was pretty big in the 90s, starring in movies like Gone In Sixty Seconds, Ransom and The Last Castle and I was a big fan of his work before he stepped back considerably in recent years – though he can be seen in the upcoming Point Break remake.

As for the character he plays: “Born Duvid Jerome Fortunov, Fortune survived the Great Depression as a roguish acrobatic adventurer, later becoming a mercenary for hire, operating out of a gambling boat, the Mississippi Queen. Created by Howard Chaikin, Fortune made his first appearance in 1975’s “Marvel Preview” #2.”

It will be interesting to see if they change the character’s origins or give him a more supernatural/alien spin given that Lindo is far too young to play a character that old.

Whatever happens, this casting has made the show a more appealing prospect and we hope he is a recurring addition.
