Man, it’s a big year for Ghostbusters and Ghostbusters fans this year.
With a new movie currently in the works and loads of rumours about who all be in it bouncing around, I’m waiting every day for more news on movies, comics, games, events, toys… you know, all the good stuff.
And tonight I magic just have a fun bit of news, especially for fans of the 2009 video game.
A new report suggests that the 2009 Ghostbusters game which acted as a sequel to Ghostbusters II and brought the story into the more modern era… although it’s a decade ago now.
So here it is: The Taiwanese age rating board has a listing for Ghostbusters: The Video Game Remastered.
The site has the developer as being Mad Dog Games, who are presumably remastering the game for modern consoles as the original developer Terminal Reality went bust in 2013; Mad Dog are also listed as the publisher.
A currently not active website, www.playghostbusters.com is listed as being the new game’s homepage and, while the listing is for the Xbox 360, it is expected the game will appear on PS4 and Nintendo Switch too.
With Ghostbusters Fanfest happening at the Sony lot next month, I’m expecting big Ghostbusters news and expect the game’s remastering to be one of them… I expect the game will be canon to the story of the new new movie directed by Jason Reitman and due next year.
Anyone else as excited as I am for a potential remastered game? Let me know…
