It looks like Warner Bros are scared by the underperformance of Godzilla: King of the Monsters (currently in cinemas and damn good fun…) and are looking at how they may need to re-examine the release of next year’s Godzilla Vs Kong.
Studio chairman Toby Emmerich has stated that the movie may be moved back from its planned released on March 30th 2020: “[Godzilla vs. Kong] will deliver for fans in the way they were looking for” in the latest Godzilla. “It might come out later in the year, so we can deliver an A+ movie.”
What that means for the movie, I’ve no idea but i really, really hope they don’t make the same mistake they made with Justice League and try to reshoot and resemble the movie to give fans what they hope (more than think) the fans want.
I’ll keep you posted…
Meanwhile, go see Godzilla: King of the Monsters… it’s great fun. Just remember it’s giant monsters fighting, ok?
