Well, it looks like Back to the Future and Star Trek star Christopher Lloyd is [finally] joining the Star Wars universe!
The actor has been cast in the upcoming third season of The Mandalorian and, according to IMDb, will appear in the opening episode of this season.
Best known as Doc Emmett Brown in the Back to the Future movies, there’s no word on who the star (83) is playing but there’s a few choices we’d love to have him as, including Joruus C’Baoth, left, the dark Jedi from the Heir to the Emperor books who, since Star Wars seems to be embracing the Legends universe now, is certainly a possibility.
However, we’re hearing that there will be a couple of elder Mandalorian wise men from the tow tribes of Mandalore who will be appearing in the new season, so our money is on him being one of them… how big a role this is, is yet to be revealed but having Doc Brown in Star Wars is an utter delight.
So, the Man with the DeLorean is in the Mandalorian? Works for us.
The third season of The Mandalorian has no release date yet but it’s expected around Halloween this year.
Thoughts on this cool bit of casting? Let us hear them all…
