Unless you’ve been living in a cave, like Obi-Wan himself, you’ll know that next month we’re finally getting the return of Ewan McGregor as Obi-Wan Kenobi for his own Disney+ series and yes, we’re all very excited at FTN HQ.
If you’ve been in that cave you may also not know that Hayden Christensen is back as Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader too and it’s been widely speculated/rumoured/known that the two would fight again – twice, actually.
Well, now, it looks like a bit of footage has leaked from one of these fights which seems to take place on a desert planet… Tattooine, perhaps?
Now, we’re not going to post the footage here but if you click the link below, you’ll see it for yourself and it looks great.
We heard from McGregor himself last week (here) that the show would kick off on Disney+ on 27th May with a double episode… now, that’ll be a pizza and soft drink night, I can tell you!
Word is the second episode will have a mid-credit scene that will introduce Vader into the story, showing Anakin in his Bacta Tank, suddenly sensing that his old friend/brother/master is alive and deciding it’s time they had a rematch.
It’s all very exciting, isn’t it? Let us know what you think of all this goodness, guys,
The story begins 10 years after the dramatic events of “Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith” where Obi-Wan Kenobi faced his greatest defeat—the downfall and corruption of his best friend and Jedi apprentice, Anakin Skywalker, who turned to the dark side as evil Sith Lord Darth Vader. The series stars Ewan McGregor, reprising his role as the iconic Jedi Master, and also marks the return of Hayden Christensen in the role of Darth Vader.
Joining the cast are Moses Ingram, Joel Edgerton, Bonnie Piesse, Kumail Nanjiani, Indira Varma, Rupert Friend, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Sung Kang, Simone Kessell and Benny Safdie. “Obi-Wan Kenobi” is directed by Deborah Chow and executive-produced by Kathleen Kennedy, Michelle Rejwan, Deborah Chow, Ewan McGregor and Joby Harold
Obi-Wan Kenobi arrives on May 25th 27th on Disney+.
