It looks like Marvel’s animated What If…? universe is still set to continue as official word is that a second season of Marvel Zombies is being developed.
Picking up from the What If…? season one episode, What If… Zombies?, the Marvel Zombies limited series (which was originally developed as a movie but had to be broken down because they wanted to use Spider-Man in it and the Sony deal wouldn’t allow him in a movie) featured a world ravaged by a zombie outbreak that saw almost all of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes become, well, zombies, leaving only a choice few to stand against them and try to save the world.
It wasn’t a bad watch, but overall, I think many fans, myself included, hoped for more.
Well, more we may be getting.

On the latest episode of the Official Marvel Podcast, Brad Winderbaum confirmed that co-creator Bryan Andrews is “actively developing the next zombie story” for Season 2 of Marvel Zombies.
“We’re starting to talk about ideas. The little bit I’ve heard so far is incredible,” he teases.
What If…? ended after three seasons, followed by Marvel Zombies, and while both were fun in places, neither seemed to grab the fans by the throats, but, given that Winderbaum previously said the viewing figures would determine if they moved ahead with more, it seems the fans did indeed watch.
So, more Marvel Zombies. Thoughts? I know you have them and I wanna hear ’em all.
