First images from Ted Lasso season 4 are here as release date teased

This summer, Ted Lasso returns to our screens for a fourth season, and I couldn’t be more excited.

In the past, I have received comments about covering Ted Lasso because it’s not something that falls under our banner, but this show was one of the brightest spots during the covid years, and that means it’s pretty important to me, even if the last season wasn’t great.

But at the end of the last season, we saw all the characters get their happy ending (stop it!) and Ted returned home to Kansas to his family, with his team, Richmond, having reached the height they only dreamed off before Ted (Jason Sudeikis) joined as coach. This season is expected to pick up in Kansas (we know there was filming there before production moved back to London) and will see Ted decide to come back, this time to coach the women’s team and he will be joined by his son, Henry who, from the new images, seems to be going to school in the UK now.

Sam Raimi confirms talks are happening about a new Darkman movie

The official synopsis reads: Ted returns to Richmond, taking on his biggest challenge yet: coaching a second division women’s football team. Throughout the course of the season, Ted and the team learn to leap before they look, taking chances they never thought they would.

The images also give us our first look at the new female coach played by Tanya Reynolds ut don’t fear, the images also show us coach Beard, played by Brendan Hunt, is also back.

We also see returning characters Mae, the Crown & Anchor pub landlady, played by Annette Badland, as well as Rebecca, Ted’s boss, played by the awesome Hannah Waddingham, and yes, I’m pretty sure that’s a little box of Ted’s cookies.

We also know that Juno Temple, Brett Goldstein, and Jeremy Swift are all returning as Keeley Jones, Roy Kent, and Leslie Higgins. Joined the cast are newcomers Jude Mack, Faye Marsey, Rex Hayes, Aisling Sharke,y and Abbie Hern.

Ted and the gang return this summer… I’d expect a trailer pretty soon too.

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
