The Banshees of Inisherin and Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri writer/director Martin McDonagh’s new movie, Wild Horse Nine, will hit screens just before Christmas this year.

Just announced on social media, the new movie, as can be seen from the image above, is filming and features Easter Island and not only that, but the cast is to die for with John Malkovich, Sam Rockwell, Steve Buscemi, Mariana di Girolamo, Ailín Salas, Tom Waits, and Parker Posey all announced.

The movie is set in 1973 Chile and follows two CIA agents who face a trust-testing journey from Santiago to Easter Island.

McDonagh, along with his brother John Michael McDonagh, are two of the most exciting filmmakers around, with John Michael also being a writer and director with movies such as The Guard and Calvary under his belt.

All I know for sure is this; when one fo them announces a new movie, the excitement starts immediately.

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
