WATCH: Verbinski thanks fans for seeing Good Luck, Have Fun, Don’t Die with stop-motion message

Director Gore Verbinski has taken to social media to thank cinemagoers for coming to see his latest movie, Good Luck, Have Fun, Don’t Die but rather than writing a message, the director went one further.

Posting a stop motion illustration featuring the movie’s giant cat, it ends with a simple ‘Thank You’.

It’s a really nice way to reach out to fans and, by the way, if you haven’t seen Good Luck, Have Fun, Don’t Die yet, I would definitely recommend paying it a visit.

Tidbit:

Gore Verbinski was in the recent past attached to a movie based on the Bioshock video games and while it looks like the project is dead in the water now, he has spoken about his plan for it, saying it would have been a hard R-rated movie, would have incorporated player ‘choices’ — and their consequences and would have explored the ‘Oedipal aspect’, having big daddies and little sisters. Perhaps most interestingly, he ‘really fuck with people’s heads’ as it would have featured both the game’s endings.

A man claiming to be from the future takes the patrons of an iconic Los Angeles diner hostage in search of unlikely recruits in a quest to save the world.

Directed by: Gore Verbinski Starring: Sam Rockwell, Haley Lu Richardson, Michael Peña, Zazie Beetz, Asim Chaudhry, and Juno Temple

Good Luck, Have Fun, Don’t Die is still playing in cinemas

Check out his thanks:

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
