We have our first look at the new installment in the world of Avatar: The Last Airbender and this one is taking us back in time!
The new series will be called Avatar Kuruk: Wave of Chaos and will focus on a young Kuruk, the Water Tribe Avatar who we met in the original Avatar: The Last Airbender series, and will see him as a rebellious teen who is trying to stay “one step ahead of his angry teacher, rowdy pirates, and chaotic spirits, all while helping the world in his own unique ways” as he aims to learn to use all four elements while travelling the world.

The series was announced at NYCC by franchise co-creators Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko who also gave us the first looks above and below.
The announcement comes as we got the news that the third and most recent series, Avatar: Seven Havens, which just started airing last week, has been renewed for a second season.

We also, in recent months, had the franchise’s first animated movie with Avatar Aang.
Avatar Kuruk: Wave of Chaos will be the fourth animated series in the franchise after Avatar: The Last Airbender, Avatar: The Legend of Korra and Avatar: Seven Havens.
It’s believed there are more shows and animated features planned for the future.
