Zack Snyder will take charge of the planned Justice League film if Man of Steel is the success story everyone is hoping and expecting.
According to Empire Magazine, via JoBlo, whether the director gets the gig depends on how successful it is commercially and critically.
“If we do, they say, Zack Snyder will be asked to direct.”
Elsewhere, Snyder himself has said that Man of Steel wasn’t necessarily created without thoughts of the broader DC Universe.
“We didn’t design the movie like Batman, but I don’t think anybody would say that you design a Superman movie as a one-off,” he said.
As for Man of Steel itself, the director confirmed that it will run 2 hours and 28 minutes.
“I have a hard time having perspective, but I have to say that it is everything that I could have hoped for. Touch wood that I am not insane, but it feels really good,” he said.
Man of Steel opens this June.
