Writers: Greg Pak (Batman/Superman) & Tom Taylor (Injustice)
Published by DC Comics
Batman and Superman are best friends, you say? Well, they weren’t always like that. And it’s never a good friendship if there isn’t a fight every once in a while.
This special reprint of the popular DC monthly contains some of the superbros’ most recent fights against each other, ranging from when they first met to a disagreement on the policy of how to be a hero. While these stories are from different universes, one being main continuity and the other the Injustice video game-verse, each story is a stellar example of the one of the oldest friendships on Earth.
Overall, I like how this book is laid out, with the Batman/Superman story first, followed by the Injustice chapters. Though, I do wish there was a little bit of fanfare, let’s say, between the chapters, instead of going straight from the last page of Bats/Supes into Injustice. Like an intro or title page. I also kind of wonder why the ‘letters’ section splits up the Injustice chapters. But, as a whole it works; since the Injustice section is suppose to be the special, not the main feature, therefore should come second.
I must say, if you’ve ever thought about jumping onto either series, be it Batman/Superman or Injustice, then I would definitely recommend getting this volume. It’s really got everything you need to get started!
