Every week FTN will be hosting videos looking back at classic films from the 80s and early 90s…
The videos will be a retrospective look back at a particular film covering all sides of the production and discussing how the film turned out. Many people on the net generally like to discuss films with a negative attitude and take joy in bashing films for comedic effect which does work but often many of the reviews aren’t researched well or films are taken out of context for the purpose of making a joke and I feel websites such as youtube have become over-saturated with these types of videos, I wanted to do something different.

Ghostbusters (1984)
Ghostbusters is probably the most fondly remembered film from the 80s. It’s a great mix of comedy and horror that was highly praised by critics on release and, thanks to that catchy theme tune, it rocked to the number one spot at the box office and become the most successful comedy ever and retained that title for years. The movie’s success helped it spawn a hugely successful cartoon series which ran for six seasons and also produced a mountain of merchandise!
Ghostbusters is one of my personal favourite films just like FTN’s Marc. The movie never fails to make me laugh after all these years and its effects still look great; even the odd dated visual effect it keeps its charm.
Everyone has seen Ghostbusters, so let’s relive our memories of this classic to celebrate my 100th review!
