With Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles not far away we’ve still been given very little in the form of images of Shredder and Splinter…
So consider this a spoiler warning folks…
A new book, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Ultimate Visual History that is set to be released to tie-in with the movie has some pretty cool images of both characters – the Shredder image is a concept drawing, but from what we’ve glimpsed it seems pretty close to how he’ll look in the movie, as is the Splinter pic.

The city needs heroes. Darkness has settled over New York City as Shredder and his evil Foot Clan have an iron grip on everything from the police to the politicians. The future is grim until four unlikely outcast brothers rise from the sewers and discover their destiny as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The Turtles must work with fearless reporter April O’Neil (Fox) and her wise-cracking cameraman Vern Fenwick (Arnett) to save the city and unravel Shredder’s diabolical plan.
Directed by Jonathan Liebesman, the film stars Megan Fox in the role of April O’Neil, Alan Ritchson as Raphael, Jeremy Howard as Donatello, Pete Ploszek as Leonardo, Noel Fisher as Michelangelo, Will Arnett as Vernon Fenwick, Danny Woodburn as Master Splinter and William Fichtner as Shredder with Johnny Knoxville and Tony Shalhoub lending their voices to Leonardo and Splinter respectively.
Teenage Mutant ninja Turtles will hit theaters on August 8th, 2014.
