Avengers: Age of Ultron footage shown, read the description

July 16th, 2014 by Irwin Fletcher Comments

During a special preview and Q&A for James Gunn’s Guardians of the Galaxy in London, Marvel Studios President and producer Kevin Feige actually showed some footage from the highly anticipated Avengers: Age of Ultron. RadioTimes (via CBM) was on hand to watch the footage and wrote about what they saw in the two minute sizzle reel.

According to their report Tony Stark’s Hulkbuster armor, as seen in the previously-released concept art (above), was shown going toe-to-toe the Hulk. They described the armor as:

“Where his normal suit is sleek as a missile, this is bruising like a tank.”

Additionally, a scene with Scarlet Witch was shown where she was:

“fighting alongside Hawkeye on a ruined Italian street, but earlier in the reel both she and her brother were locked in fancy Perspex prison cells.”

This sounds like the scene being filmed when the first set photos leaked online.

In addition they say Avengers Tower has:

“floor to ceiling windows, twin laboratories for Stark and Bruce Banner, and parking for supersonic jets. It’s reminiscent of the SHIELD helicarrier in terms of construction, with lots of shiny metal pillars.”

There have been rumors that Marvel will show Age of Ultron footage at SDCC, this could be part of what they will show.

Written and directed by Joss Whedon, Avengers: Age of Ultron stars Robert Downey Jr., Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Jeremy Renner, Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Samuel L. Jackson, Thomas Kretschmann, Aaron Taylor Johnson, Elizabeth Olsen and James Spader.

The Age of Ultron begins on May 1st, 2015.
