Game Of Thrones fans can rejoice as they will now get to see its star Lena Headey strip off for an important scene thanks to a council ban being lifted.
Last week it was reported that series 5 of the hit HBO show had hit a small bump during filming when it was banned from filming a nude scene in the Croatian capital of Dubrovnik.
Lena was supposed to film a topless scene as her character, Cersei Lannister, walked out of the Church of St Nicholas.
In A Dance With Dragons, George R R Martin’s most recent book of his epic A Song of Ice and Fire, Cersei Lannister gets thrown in prison and has to walk naked through King’s Landing as penance when she is released.
But TMZ had reported that show bosses weren’t given permission for filming to take place at Dubrovnik Cathedral as the church has ‘a rigid policy against public displays of sexuality.’
It caused all sorts of problems as show bosses said they ‘can’t cut the scene because it’s crucial to the story line and it’s an iconic moment from the book.’
However, producers have now been told they CAN film the scenes, provided they keep well away from the church.
Game Of Thrones fifth series is expected to air in April.
