Jeffrey Wright to play Batman in star-filled Batman comedy podcast

February 15th, 2021 by Marc Comments

It seems that HBO Max isn’t just going to the home of great DC movies and TV shows… oh, no, that’s just the beginning.

We now have Batman: The Audio Adventures to look forward to.

The series, being dubbed a podcast, is a comedy show based around the Dark Knight. It will be from Saturday Night Live writer Dennis McNicholas and will have a cracking line-up too with The Batman star Jeffrey Wright stepping up, not as James Gordon as he will in the Matt Reeves movie, but as Batman himself.

But that’s not it, check out the rest of this cast:

Chris Parnell, Melissa Villaseñor, Seth Meyers, Brent Spiner, John Leguizamo, Ike Barinholtz, Bobby Moynihan, Kenan Thompson, Rosario Dawson, Jason Sudeikis, Alan Tudyk, Heidi Gardner, Brooke Shields, Paul Scheer, Tim Meadows, Fred Armisen, Ray Wise, Ben Rodgers, Katie Rich, Pete Schultz, Paula Pell, Toby Huss, and [Dennis] McNicholas.

This is going to be, well hopefully, a cracking bit of Batman/DC content from what is quickly usurping The CW as the home of DC content.

Thoughts? I want to hear them all.

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
