Rose Tyler returns to Doctor Who in new ongoing comic series UPDATED: Trailer added

September 26th, 2020 by Marc Comments

This is pretty cool! The Doctor Who comic seems to be becoming a Titan Comics’ ongoing with a new #1 coming on November 18th with a book that will feature both the tenth (David Tennant) and thirteenth (Jodie Whitaker).

But, while the duo have been together in the comics for a while, the new big addition to the comics for the first time is the return of Rose Tyler – played by Billie Piper during the Eccleston and Tennant years.

Last time we saw Rose in the series she was on the alternate earth, saving the world from Cybermen and other threats while living with the duplicate Doctor – we also saw her during the Day of the Doctor special but that wasn’t really Rose.

It will be exciting to see her return and to learn how she meets the two Doctors in this story.

Following the smash-hit Time Lord Victorious mini-series, and after narrowly escaping the Weeping Angels in 1960s London, the tenth and thirteenth Doctors must team-up once again to save present-day Earth from being overrun by a race of aquatic villains.

Who else can they turn to for help but Rose Tyler leader of the human resistance!

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
