Marvel recently announced that Sonia Braga will be coming to their Netflix series Luke Cage. She will be playing Claire Temple’s (Rosario Dawson) mother, Soledad Temple. We’ve already met Claire in Marvel’s first hit Netflix series, Daredevil.
“A character as strong as Claire needs an equally powerful mother, and with Sonia we found the perfect actress to deliver the stellar performance we needed,” said Executive Producer/Head of Marvel Television, Jeph Loeb. “In ‘Marvel’s Luke Cage,’ fans will now get a chance to see where Claire got the fire we love her for.”
Luke Cage stars Mike Colter as the title character and will debut sometime in 2016.
