FTN PRESENTS: THE EMPIRE TALKS BACK PODCAST: EPISODE I

February 27th, 2013 by Marc 2 Comments

A LONG TIME AGO, IN A GALAXY FAR, FAR AWAY…

Here it is Star Wars fans!

The first ever Star Wars Only podcast from the good folk at www.followingthenerd.com.

In this first episode host Marc is joined by Christopher Williams and Michael Bashford.

They play catch-up on ALL the events since the October 30th, 2012 announcement that Disney have merged with Lucasfilm and are promising new Star Wars movies.

Covering everything that has been announced and rumoured so far, from returning cast to writers, to directors to speculation as to what exactly the movies will cover.

The show also talks about the impact the merger will have to fans of the EU (Expanded Universe) and even if it spells the end of our favourite TV show, The Clone Wars.

This is an extra long episode covering all the news so far.

From next week we’re hoping the show will be more bite-sized, focusing on the breaking news each week about what we know/hope/guess is going to happen in the new Star Wars adventures….

Until next time, the Force will be with you. Always…

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
