Hello and welcome to the latest episode of the following the nerd show

This show, for all you podcast listeners was recorded live on Thursday. February 19th, 2015.

On the show this week we have a few very big stories….
We’ll be talking about the just-comfirmed Alien 5 from Neil Blomkamp, the director of District 9.

We’ll also be talking about the ghostbusters reboot and the fact that dan aykroyd still things a real GBIII might happen.

We’ll hear why Samuel L Jackson thinks Marvel has the upperhand in the movie universe over DC.

Could The Suicide Squad be too much for the Enchantress?

Plus, we’ll have details on the new season of Game of Thrones and why even the book fans should be worried for their favourite characters.

And we get clarification on last week’s big Arrow rumour that Diggle might be Green Lantern.

And, of course, we’ll have the Monday Movie Show’s Stuart on with the week’s biggest movies and reviews of what’s hot this weekend…

As always, I’m your host Marc and with me once more, I have the man recently voted the world’s oldest person on Santa’s official list. Oddly enough, last Christmas he was also the oldest person in the world to have not gotten toys from the big man because he still hasn’t been taken off the naughty list. And, quite coincidentally, he holds the record for that too at a total of 22 consecutive years; his family call him Stephen but we call him… Saxon.

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
