Director Neill Blomkamp and actor Sharlto Copley are set to team up once again in the sci-fi genre – only this time in the world of comedy.
The South African duo, who have worked in past on District 9 and the forthcoming Elysium, will pair up for Chappie.
Plot details for Blomkamp’s Elysium follow-up are being kept firmly under wraps, but it’s described as a “science-fiction comedy” that takes place in an unusual setting.
Production on Chappie will take place in Johannesburg.
