Bryan Singer teases an X-Men trophy room in Days of Future Past?

August 17th, 2013 by Irwin Fletcher Comments

Bryan Singer has tweeted teases about X-Men: Days of Future Past ranging from casting reveals to giant Sentinels, but this latest one is pretty cool. It came with one word:

 “Artifacts”

Singer released the above image, which appears to have Havok’s costume, Magneto’s helmet, a wing that looks like it was ripped off of Angel Salvadore, and that first item appears to be a coin? Perhaps the coin Magneto used to kill Shaw? This looks to be a trophy room, but who’s? I have a feeling it might be someone in the future timeline. Let us know what you think.

Update: Singer jumped back on Twitter just now to post a second new image, (I guess he can’t let a guy chill on a Friday). This one features Fassbender’s Magneto. It came with the note:

 “Loving my monitors today”

Singer reveal that principal photography on the film is set to finish tomorrow via hashtag.

“The film will be based on the comic book storyline “Days of Future Past,” which ran in Uncanny X-Men #141 and 142 back in 1981 during Chris Claremont and John Byrne’s run and introduced the idea of an alternate future for Marvel’s mutants that grew out of the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants killing an important senator, leading to a future where all mutants are hunted by Sentinels.”

Singer has managed to gather an impressive cast which includes James McAvoy, Ian McKellen, Jennifer Lawrence, Michael Fassbender, Anna Paquin, Ellen Page, Halle Berry, Shawn Ashmore, Nicholas Hoult, Hugh Jackman, Peter Dinklage, Patrick Stewart, Omar Sy, Daniel Cudmore, Fan Bingbing, Boo Boo Stewart, Adan Canto, Evan Peters, Josh Helman, and Lucas Till.

X-Men: Days of Future Past is set to be released in theaters on May 23, 2014.
