We announced recently that Chris Pratt was rumoured to be starring in the film adaptation of the graphic novel Cowboy Ninja Viking and we have good news for you. Pratt took to Twitter to confirm that he has officially signed on to star in the film adaptation.

Here is a brief synopsis for you:

Duncan (Chris Pratt) – the main protagonist in the movie –  is the result of a counter-intelligence program designed specifically for patients suffering from Multiple Personality Disorder. They are converted into agents know simply as Triplets (due to their three different personalities, quiet self-explanatory really). Duncan manages to escape and goes on a mission to find the millionaire who created the program. In the latest draft of the script the three personalities (Cowboy, Ninja, and Viking) are portrayed with each having different physiques on screen. However, as Duncan switches personas, everyone else seeing him as the same person i.e. Pratt apart from Duncan himself. How they are going to handle this will be down to script changes when they finally have a director on board as they could use three other actors to portray the three alter egos (which actually sounds quite awesome).

Pratt confirmed the news on Twitter, as seen below:

Pratt also asked his fans who they think the director should be so expect to see all kinds of suggestions if you take to his feed. However, we have a slight suspicion, that due to the facetious tone of the tweet that there is already a director in place. We will keep you posted as we expect to see announcement soon now that Pratt has officially signed on (who wouldn’t want to work with one of the hottest properties in Hollywood right now?).

The film is based on the graphic novel of the same name, by A.J. Lieberman and Riley Rossmo and is currently sold out at Amazon. Coincidence? We think not! Pratt has garnered quite the following after his star turn in Guardians of the Galaxy, so he has definitely piqued people’s’ interest in the novel.

Who would you like to see directing Cowboy Ninja Viking? Hit us up on Facebook or Twitter and let us hear your suggestions. James Gunn? Perhaps Gunn is a little too busy working on the sequel to Guardians of the Galaxy (but one can only dream, eh?!)
