Cobie Smulders talks Maria Hill returning for Avengers: Age of Ultron

November 8th, 2013 by Irwin Fletcher Comments

Maria Hill made her cinematic debut in 2012 in Marvel’s The Avengers, she’s had a cameo in the pilot for Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., and she’s set to appear in 2014’s Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Cobie Smulders  recently confirmed to the Calgary Herald that the Deputy director of S.H.I.E.L.D. would also be in the upcoming Avengers sequel, Avengers: Age of Ultron:

“I think I’m in Avengers 2, but it is very top secret. I hope I’m in Avengers 2. I didn’t get my invitation yet. Well, actually, they know I’m in it but they don’t know to what degree I’m in it.”

Smulders later confessed that she can’t wait as she’s an Avengers fan as well as one of the co-stars:

“I am really excited to read the script because they are introducing Quicksilver and the Scarlet Witch into the Avengers universe and the bad guy is going to be very interesting.”

Of course she is referring to James Spader’s Ultron.

The Joss Whedon sequel stars Robert Downey Jr, Chris Hemsworth, Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Jeremy Renner, Scarlett Johansson, Samuel L. Jackson, Cobie Smulders and James Spader.

Avengers: Age of Ultron is set for release on May 1, 2015.
