It’s hard for me to think that I’ve only read four issues of Imagine Agents. After issue #1 this book rose to the very top of my pile every month and I championed it to every comic book reader I knew. With Imagine Agents #4 we’re at the end of the book’s run (maybe?) unless BOOM! orders it to become an ongoing series!

This issue is looking to wrap up the series in a nice, neat bow. Dapple is rampaging through the city causing nothing but destruction and devastation in his wake and there’s no one that can figure out a way to stop him, that is, until our lovable loser Agent Snowgoose concocts a Hail Mary of a plan to save the day. Will it work? You’ll have to read to find out!

Brian Joines has created a universe with infinite possibilities and limitless potential. For that reason alone Imagine Agents deserves to become an ongoing, but I’m going to touch on something that I hadn’t paid too much attention to until this last issue; the book and every protagonist in it is full of heart. This issue has so many moments that made me want to pump my fist and cheer that I couldn’t help but close it with a bittersweet smile on my face. This series is absolutely wonderful and if you don’t pick up the single issues, pick up the trade when it comes out. I promise you won’t regret it!

Bachan continues to provide stellar art to compliment an already fantastic book. He really caught my attention throughout with his incredibly diverse cast of characters, but he continued to impress me even more when he shows what some of these characters are capable of when given the opportunity in this issue. Not to mention we get an amazingly epic battle scene that we get between Dapple and some major characters in the series. Before that battle sequence you KNEW the stakes were high, but you never really got the chance to see it. Afterwards you really see and feel the scale of what’s to come if Dapple is allowed to succeed in his devious quest.

This is the best all-ages comic series I’ve ever read and I hope that based on my reviews of it you guys will check it out too. If this is indeed the end I hope Joines and Bachan stick together to do another series. Seriously guys, it’s worth checking out and I promise once you do you won’t regret it. If I could rate it higher than a 5 I would in a heartbeat, but since I can’t I give Imagine Agents #4…
